Lead Grants Evaluation Specialist

Duties

As a Supervisory Loan Guarantee Specialist, you will:

—Supervise overall administrative functions and operations of OLG office.
—Supervise, monitor, and evaluate subordinate positions; facilitates planning, coordination, and scheduling for completion of work; manages work assignments to subordinates, evaluates performance, equipment resources, staff training and travel schedules; and ensures that the agency’s administrative procedures meet HUD requirements.
—Manage OLG personnel actions that include developing crediting plans; implementing the EPPES process; preparing processing award criteria and other personnel matters.
—Work closely with the Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH) Administrative Services and Management Division to ensure that OLG plans conform to the overall Federal and departmental policies and procedures.

 

Requirements 

Key Requirements:

—Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
—A one year probationary period may be required. Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period.
—A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
—Must successfully complete a background investigation.
—Public Trust – Background Investigation will be required.
—Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
—Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

—Supervising overall administrative functions and operations including staff work assignments, establishment and interpretation of office and program policies and procedures, facilitates intraoffice coordination and manages personnel actions.; AND
—Processing and underwriting guaranteed loans or traditional mortgage loans, (including loan origination, servicing, and/or claims).; AND
—Preparing and presenting analytical reports, findings, and recommendations to management or stakeholders to support program oversight, policy decisions, and operational improvements; AND
—Organizing and leading, training, guidance, marketing, and or outreach to internal staff and external stakeholders on mortgage or loan guarantee programs.; AND
—Acting in a leadership role, such as supervisor, team lead, or subject matter expert, to assign work, provide technical guidance, and make decisions on complex loan or operational issues.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
