Apply for When Completing Service & Before Starting School

  • Hansen Leadership Institute – Provides training in the principles, practices, and psychology of effective, ethical and visionary leadership.The intense, 24/7 face to face community of our three-week program becomes a path to a vibrant virtual hub, where Hansen alum engage, connect, and mutually support each other’ s project.s of peace and community building

Scholarships

Fellowships

  • Coverdell Program – Offers financial support to Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who want to pursue graduate studies. Schools with programs provide their own funding and does not come from Peace Corps. All fellows complete internships in the U.S., allowing them to continue to collaborate with communities on locally prioritized projects, to expand upon skills they gained as Volunteers, and to meet Peace Corps’ Third Goal.
  • Luce Scholars – A competitive leadership development fellowship that provides emerging leaders with immersive professional experiences in Asia. Through this yearlong immersion, the Program equips scholars with knowledge and skills to address global leadership challenges and build a more interconnected world.
  • Payne Fellowship, USAID – The Payne Fellowship encourages the application of individuals from historically underrepresented groups in the Foreign Service as well as those with financial need. Candidates can be graduating seniors or college graduates with strong academic records and a desire to promote positive change in the world. Upon successful completion of the Payne Program and USAID entry requirements, Fellows receive an appointment to the USAID Foreign Service, with a required five years of service.
  • Pickering Fellowship, State Department – Offers a unique opportunity to promote positive change in the world. Upon successful completion of a two-year master’s degree program and fulfillment of Foreign Service entry requirements, fellows have the opportunity to work as Foreign Service Officers in accordance with applicable law and State Department policy, serving in Washington, DC and at U.S. embassies, consulates, and diplomatic mission around the globe.
  • Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF) – A prestigious two-year paid program in the U.S. government designed for individuals with advanced degrees, focusing on leadership development and public service. It aims to attract talented graduates to federal agencies, where they can gain valuable experience and potentially transition to permanent positions.
  • Rangel Graduate Fellowship, State Department – Seeks individuals interested in helping to shape a freer, more secure and prosperous world through formulating, representing, and implementing U.S. foreign policy. The Program encourages the application of members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, women, and those with financial need.
